The best ball striking exercise a golfer can practise. WHY? It really starts to pacify the destructive use of the arms and shoulders as a power source whilst at the same time redirecting and channelling this wasted energy down through the wrists and finally into the clubhead. The exercise condenses the hand and wrist movement of a full swing but into a short body turn and is therefore so much easier to train than in a full swing. We are talking here about that snap at the bottom of the swing that all good players possess but all golfers can build into their swings.
David Blair demonstrates how the same Swing Build Golf principals apply throughout the bag — Putter to Driver. For more Information visit www.swingbuildgolf.com or call us on 0870 750 1286 – ‘Making Golf Make Sense’

By blending and combining the two swing moves we can achieve our maximum accelerated clubhead speed, The body turn gives us stability and a solid platform to really swing the club. Total amount of energy generated from the body and upper arms during a swing performed correctly, believe it or not, 15%. So no matter how much we force the shot it is impossible to create any real speed. Total amount from the elbows down through the forearms and wrists, well, the remaining 85%. These figures have been proven to be accurate by modern science, but the great English player Henry Cotton stated the same figures exactly in one of his books written over 50 years ago.
This exercise is another mainstay of SWINGBUILD GOLF. When rehearsed regularly, this will give the swing an efficient professional look. We are working on the theory of correct specific swing mechanics taking the golfer to a very definite, defined follow through position with just a few feedback checkpoints when performed correctly. Conversely, any incorrect moves within the swing will show up as faults at the end of the swing. This regular checking of the follow through is the mainstay of SWINGBUILDING and constructive practise
