Golf Grip And Stance Tips

What is the most important if you are to start golfing? Buying cheap golf clubs? No, I mean after that you should find the correct way of grip and stance to perform a straight stroke in case of being dispised by your friends on the golf course. The first thing you need to learn to improve your golf swing is the correct grip. Review your grip. Are you holding the club too tight? You’ll have to loosen your grip on the club and hold it easily. Assuming you hold the golf club to your right hand side, the grip should have your left hand on the club, and your right hand over the left hand. Position your hands in such a way that The base of the golf club just about reaches below the ball. You can use different grips as you feel comfortable. The ‘baseball grip’ is one of the most popular grips for beginners where they do not interlock their hands. Make sure that the grip is firm but not so tight that the wrists get jammed while you take the shot. In addition, many people blame it on the handle of their cheap golf clubs when the clubs slip in their hands, but never consider the way they grip their clubs. Review your stance. Let’s go back to the basics here. While taking the shot, your feet should be a shoulder-length distance apart. I hope you’re comfortable with your height and the grip of your club. Your shoulders should not be tensed. Keep them just loose enough to be able to deal with the ball assertively in the right direction. A lot of people like to measure the distance between their legs by positioning a basketball between their knees. When you take your stance make sure that you put equal weight on both legs. Bend your knees slightly and loosen them. Again, the stance should not be so rigid that it inhibits your motion. You know that little butt-waggle golfers do? It is to loosen up their lower bodies so that they can take the shot properly. If you are a beginner who has just entered the sport, cheap golf clubs and baseball grip maybe right for you, but once you have been advanced, they all should be changed. The last thing is go practising. Continue Reading

Golf Tips-How To Make A Solid Golf Grip And Good Set-Up

Golf Tips-How To Make A Solid Golf Grip And Good Set-Up

A solid golf swing begins with a good grip, you need a grip that conducts and mutiplys the forces created by the body in order to make a freeflowing swing. If you run the grip to high in the palm,it could lead to a massive loss of mobility in the left wrist. When you lay the club in the left hand make sure the grip sits low in the in the fingers. The left thumb should sit down the right of the centre line as you look down. When holding the the club
the v between thumb and forefinger should be pointing between the chin and right shoulder.Again i cant stress enough about the grip fitting low in the fingers of the right hand, while the thumb and forefinger engage to create the ‘Trigger’,which gives you a terrific sense of feel in the swing.Remember to keep the hand pressure even even, the two hands should work together as a unit, getting you speed in the swing.
After the grip comes posture,set-up and creating a good angle in the body.If you look at the professionals on tv,one of the reasons why they generate so much speed and power is that they have made a stable platform that feels grounded. With the stable platform and their posture balanced on the balls of their feet, they use this feeling to to wind and unwind their body.A good drill to get that feeling is to take a golf club, press down on top of the club with your arms out whilst flexing the knees, pushing the rear out and bending from the hips. This should help get a feeling of what a good set-up should feel like.
