the GOlf channel the other day say that ROry admires Ryo very much so Ryo must be good somehow. Ryo is very natural though. It works for him and he his a GREAT putter

@raphtm Ryo is better then Rory. Rory only won 1 tournament AND ryo won 7 tournaments and he’s younger then Rory. so both have great swings but lets face it ryo is a better player

I totally agree with @lokelani525. Rory’s swing is pure. Very simple. Very on plane. Transition is great. He does spin out a little bit. Super fundamental and very advanced with swing mechanics for his age. In fact, he had a better swing than Tiger when Tiger was the same age. But then again Tiger won his first damn major at 21. Ryo on the other hand is still very young.If he finds a good pro who really understands swing mechanics, he could possibly be a great golfer with a great swing.

It is a world class swing, so is Jim Furyks, the backswing doesn’t mean crap, it’s the delivery of the club into the ball which counts, even Jeev Milkha Singh has a world class swing.

Reading is fundamental…I said he’s a great player…Jim Furyk is great player, would you say that his swing is as fundamentally sound as some of the other players on tour? Ryo is obviously a world class player, not necessarily a world class swing.

Grip is garbage, club face is shut on the way back, and shaft points right of target at top of swing…needs a lot of work to have a great swing. Of course a great swing is not a prerequisite to be a great golfer, but if Ryo wants to be thought of as having one of the premier swings in the game, he’s gonna have to change a lot of stuff. Rory’s swing destroys this one.

im pretty sure he hits draws because thats what it said this year at doral. He hits an EXTREMELY high draw. And on some japanese converage his ball was definately drawing most of the time. I mean he take it back shut and he is across the line so he has to hit a draw.
