He’s swinging out of his boots. Almost lost balance at finish.
April 28th, 2010 at 8:19 pm
this particualr swing wasn’t that good
April 28th, 2010 at 9:02 pm
i love the swing up untill the finish. his hands are way too close to his head. doesnt look like a pro at the finish. overall great fundamentals, its easy to see why hes so good
April 28th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
if he was a bit younger, then i would definately regard him as the next number 1
April 28th, 2010 at 10:14 pm
He looks pretty ungainly some of the time, but man, does he hit it well. He does the right things right, anyway.

Isn’t that the truth! Irish meerkat, or something. Love the guy, but that does crack me up.
April 28th, 2010 at 10:44 pm
that was such a flush shot… Very nice!
April 28th, 2010 at 11:15 pm
right heel stays down through impact
April 29th, 2010 at 12:10 am
Well he’s useing a R9 here!!!
April 29th, 2010 at 12:35 am
it flexes toe down but not forward, maybe if his hands suddenly stopped right before impact the club would kick forward.
April 29th, 2010 at 1:18 am
I’ve never seen this guy blink.. he has no eyelids.
April 29th, 2010 at 1:36 am
his swing looks so much better in slow motion. normal speed it can look sloppy sometimes
April 29th, 2010 at 2:27 am
he doesn’t have to use wilson woods so he changes up a lot. He has never used a wilson 3 wood but uses their 5 their driver and 5 and hybrid. He really liked their dd6+ and won his majors with that. Then he switched to their Smooth which is a very long club but its giving him fits
April 29th, 2010 at 3:14 am
ok shafts do bend forward a lil bit but defintiely no that much. it just looks like that due to the camera
April 29th, 2010 at 4:04 am
Lol, if it was actually bending like that at impact holy shit that would be a ton of loft. That be like on a wedge trajectory.
April 29th, 2010 at 4:51 am
all his woods at the British open were also Taylormade burner… With Wilson Staff head covers…
maybe he’s only paid to wear the cap.. lol

His change in swing has made him quite a big hitter.
In the PGA hes had a fair few biggest drives on holes but his accuracy has been absolutely terrible. Hes hitting 33% of fairways these days but going 300+ yards far more.
April 29th, 2010 at 5:20 am
haha i never relised that
April 29th, 2010 at 5:43 am
Any shaft that’s well-matched–going back even to the steel-shaft days–will flex forward some through impact (also a little toe-down, because of the heel-down pressure put on the club at the change of direction).
April 29th, 2010 at 6:41 am
hah he uses a taylormade r9!!!
April 29th, 2010 at 7:38 am
no man some shafts have forward bend to create high launch without excess spin
April 29th, 2010 at 7:44 am
padraig is sneaky long off the tee..
April 29th, 2010 at 8:19 am
Optical illusion created by camera shutter or something like that.
April 29th, 2010 at 9:08 am
Hi Def Camera is SWEET! THanks
April 29th, 2010 at 9:53 am
is it just me or is that shaft bending the wrong way just before he hits the ball?
