@RTOHIO Hi, it’s teaching your body to get in the proper ‘delivery’ position…..hips open, shoulders square, right elbow and wrist still hinged/loaded and close to the body…..as you get good with the drill w the irons you can start doing it w the woods too and it will become natural on the course as well. Have fun!

This works amazingly well, but what is it teaching me? Do I use this drill in a game? How will it help me eliminate a slice when using my normal swing with a driver?

Wow, this drill really promotes the elbow staying in. Thank you for posting this.

keep at it, the longer clubs tend to be the last to behave! a bit more time w/ the drill ought to do it—have fun!

I went from a hook, slight draw, shank, fade, and now a slice. YOU HAVE FIXED MY SLICE. Thank you SO MUCH

Yes, a common problem…almost always better to have the ball too far back than too far forward! Forward almost ensures outside-in path by the time the ball gets there. Good Luck!

i find i slice when i have the ball to far forward in my stance.

wow, smart drill, it helped alot and no slice what so ever

Hi, glad u like it. It usually takes a while to be able to progress from short irons to mid to long to woods. Practice w/ the irons for a while and the driver will get easier to use with the drill. Have fun!

Great drill i’ve just come from the range and have been hitting the irons sweet but can’t use the drill for the driver for some reason

Great drill, Thanks! Ledbetter has a similar drill, but instead you align your feet 45 deg to the RIGHT; this one works much better for me. My slice is so bad that this just got me hitting it straight. are you doing anything special with the takeaway (far to the outside?)? How do I work this into my regular swing?

This is really a great drill. After hitting about five balls, my swing plane felt more natural and I began hitting a very soft draw with my irons. My ball striking improved after only one hour on the range.

Absolutely super tip. This guy is the real deal and can get your game going. I had the lesson today and went out on the course to use it. My game is work in progress but after this lesson today I am confident, through the results, that I am heading in the right direction!

One more thing though….where’s the follow-up video you mentioned? Thanks again!

Wow, the drill is very simple and very, very good! I can’t wait to get to the range to see how I hit it now. I never felt this in my swing before and can tell that this is what the tour players do–thanks! p.s. I used to follow your progress on tour when you lived here in SoCal!
