Yes mis read the comment, he does swing it well, if he gets on the 80 yards and in – watch out!
April 27th, 2010 at 1:48 am
to be fair, he actually was saying ballooning was the last thing he would use to describe it…meaning he also agrees he doesn’t balloon it….
he was responding to another poster who your comment should be directed towards.
this is a nice swing, i drop my club inside too, it seems to be becoming a popular power move, guys like Sergio Garcia, Ryan Moore, and a few others have been using it on tour, and it works.

truth !

On a golfchannel, it was said that he hit it about 40-50 yards longer, when he was younger.

I have followed this guy all over Europe and I can assure jbooks05 this guy don`t baloon it, his flight is amazing and compared to the crap technique of JB and Bubba his swing is a revelation, yes he drops it inside and creates huge lag but its fast and in balance, the guy is LONG and has very educated hands and a short game which he works on!!

If you can hit it off a low tee, then surely you will be able to do it with-out one.
Brilliant shot to have in the bag on the windy links. xxx

holy shit the ball wasnt even teed up he crushed it , amazing swing

I’m equally intrigued by the balance this guy has, not many factors in the equation.

its a setting that focuses like MACRO on a digital camera. It allows all the pixels to be focused on near objects, producing outstanding picture quality. xx

There is no tee, but it is just a practice drill, probably to make sure he doesnt make too much lateral movement off the ball.
look at the ball a foot in front of the one he hit, that is on a tee.
Alvaro booms it high, low whatever he likes, but when you hit the ball as far as he does, hitting it high is no big problem, gets it stopping quicker on the lightning quick greens they play on.
Alvaro is the most exciting golfer since Seve

WOW!! This guy is powerful and accurate. His coil is amazing……..
April 27th, 2010 at 6:52 am
hey guiyellow you are an absolute moron. his swing is flat? no its not. he just drops it inside. have you seen this guys ball flight off a tee??? balloon is the last way i would describe it
April 27th, 2010 at 7:04 am
POWERRRRRRRR.
April 27th, 2010 at 7:27 am
there is tee, its deep in the ground, but there is. its because he has a flat swing so it helps no to ballon the ball. i got the same problem, if i use long tees , i pass the driver under it. and the ball comes out to the sky

For the love of STRENGTH.

unbelieveble speed!
April 27th, 2010 at 9:26 am
Dude I didn’t even notice. The driver shot is off the deck. No tee! I’ve tried it, and for most, you’re better off with a 3 wood.
April 27th, 2010 at 10:13 am
notice in the second swing alvaro is hitting a driver off the deck
April 27th, 2010 at 10:44 am
dude I must have been right near you, I was at Hazeltine too and I remember him ripping this fucken driver from off the deck, it was crushed! I mean it had to of carried like 310 and the height of it was unbelievable! The crowd was just memorized, he was like giggling about it after he hit it. It was a sight to see
Great video, great quality – thanks for all your footage!
April 27th, 2010 at 10:54 am

Click on More Info on the right hand side of the video where the avatar is – tags will be visible at the bottom of that window.
The fpx are only 30 – it’s not a camera meant for high speed video but works reasonably well because of it’s great picture quality.

Where are the tags? Why are there steps in the slow motion. It looks like a great camera, not sure of the fps.
