A Game Golf Instruction “How-To” Always Setup Correctly

Posted on 29 April 2010 by admin

visit www.AGameGolfInstruction.com for hundreds of golf instruction videos. When you look down your feet and golf ball during setup, what should correct alignment look like at setup? In this golf instruction video, the camera angle looks down at your feet so that you can see what correct alignment looks like from your own eye position and learn how to clearly visualize correct golf setup alignment before you start to swing the golf club at the golf course. A correct golf setup and alignment along with a correct golf grip is a critical part of creating a sound golf swing. Knowing how to setup to the golf ball correctly with each golf club and then doing it regularly will help you to be able to recognize a correct setup for yourself so that this essential part of the golf swing can eventually happen naturally without any thought and lead to lower scores on the golf course.

sounds like you suck. If you dont like the advice then close the window instead of talking shit. When you win the masters then fine, you can talk shit. Until then just do me a favor and keep crying like a bitch.

When I was on the high school golf team, a golf pro changed my swing. I lost yardage, I couldn’t score well and I was very frustrated for nearly a month. But I trusted what I was taught, practiced it and eventually after a month cut my handicap in half because I became much more consistent and gained yardage as well. Anytime you change, you risk backtracking. Tiger Woods has changed his swing 5 times and everytime, he loses his competitive advantage for a short time but then he starts winning.

good adivce to some people. But everyone has a different swing, So if you are having a hard time to hit the ball well just go to the range and figure it out. Thats the best way to get a good swing. Or get a lesson, but some people suck at lessons, this bastard made my swing slice and go 25 yrds less

I used to hit my driver perfectly straight with the club in the middle of my stance but could never get it to go far.I realized that I should place my feet with my heel aligned to the tee. After that my shots were all over the place because I couldn’t figure out how to grab the club without the shoulders being out of position. You provided me with a light bulb moment. I will never forget to do the “Reverse K”. Instructors never tell you the little thing.Thank God for people like you & Youtube!!!!!

I place the grip in the same position (left of the zipper) for every club that I’m using a normal swing with.

  16. AGameGolf Says:

Positioning of your feet has a lot of influence on how you strike the ball. You can use variations to achieve different results. If you slice the ball for example, try pointing your back foot at 12 oclock and your front foot at 10 oclock. That will help you turn the club over at impact. Also, pointing your back foot at 12 oclock can help you coil more tightly in the backswing. See what works for you.

  17. wjames98 Says:

I also noticed in your setup that your feet are positioned at the ten o’clock (Left-Foot) and two o’clock (Right-Foot) position. Do you use this position for all of your clubs or do you vary it and why?

    Thanks in advance

    Keep up the great work!

    James

I have noticed in your driver setup, that you hold the club grip just left of your zipper. Do you use this same grip position for all of your clubs or do you move the grip position forward in your stance as the club you are using becomes shorter in length? For example, with the driver, the grip is positioned left of your zipper, mid-iron, the grip is inline with the inside of your left leg and then with the wedges, your grip is inline with the center of your left pant leg?

I really enjoy your postings! Easy to understand, concise, and in-depth.

Two questions for you if you don’t mind?

  20. AGameGolf Says:

That’s great. That just means you’re using a stronger grip which can help you square the clubface. Many people use a strong grip verses a neutral grip as demonstrated here.

instead of having the pocket between the two tendons on top of the shaft,I had it a little right of the shaft and it helped me with my slice.Still enjoying your videos.Thanks.
